Celia Cruz: October 21, 1925 - July 16, 2003.

Celia Cruz was a Cuban singer who gained worldwide recognition as the “Queen of Salsa.” She spent most of her time living in New Jersey during most of her career which spanned over five decades.

In 1994, President Bill Clinton awarded Celia Cruz with the National Medal of Arts. To this date she still remains an iconic figure in Latin Music.
