Today we remember and admire the Little Rock Nine, a group of nine African-American students who desegregated Little Rock Central High School. 

Ernest Greene, Elizabeth Eckford, Jefferson Thomas, Terrence Roberts, Carlotta Walls LaNier, Minnijean Brown, Gloria Ray Karlmark, Thelma Mothershed, Melba Pattillo Beals.
We wanted to widen our options for ourselves, and later for our children.
